The Vacation Niseko housekeeping+ team multitasks!


As the housekeeping portion of the name says, you will be responsible for making sure that the apartments are cleaned to a very high standard before the guests arrival and during their stay.

Furthermore, the + portion of the name means that you will also provide support to the front desk team at Niseko Landmark View.


Positives

This position is ideal for those wishing to work fewer hours than a full-time position and spend more time on the slopes. The housekeeping+ staff will be the team who has the most amount of time to be spent on the mountain!

You will be working in a housekeeping team made up of mostly Japanese, so be ready for a cultural immersion experience!


Challenges

The standard check-out time is 10:00AM and the official check-in time is 3PM, which means that during peak season the team may have quite a few apartments to clean in just 5 hours!

It can be pretty physically demanding during peak!

Moreover, during in-stay cleans you will have to enter the apartment while the guest is staying there - so you will have to make sure not to damage anything belonging to the guests.

The ideal candidate:

  • is energetic and willing to do physically demanding work

  • has previous experience in hospitality housekeeping

  • is willing to experience a different culture, especially in a workplace environment

  • will have the basics of Japanese communication, but it is not mandatory

Working Period:

Beginning of December until end of March (Full season)​(Flexible end date possible)
